Termite Control

Our expandable termite monitoring system gives us the ability to attack termite colonies before they infest your home. It's versatile design allows us to select the newest control technologies as they become available while providing continuous proactive, rather than re-active , protection.
Like a smoke detector, PROGARD alerts you to the threat of destructionand allows for control before damages occur.

A quarterly inspection service will be performed to inspect the system for termite activity and to identify conditions that could lead to future termite infestations.

A report detailing our finding and recommendations will be presented after each inspection. This report records the status of termite activity, note areas conducive to termite infestation and contains impoProgardrtant information to aid our control efforts. Your assistance may be requested to eliminate areas of concern should conducive conditions be identified.

The Objective

To form a continuous barrier with an effective chemical that will keep termites from entering entering your home for as long as possible.

The Strategy

Step 1) A discussion with the client, and a complete inspection of the property (structure and surroundings) will be carried out.
Step 2) A thorough analysis of the property will then be made.
Step 3) The conditions favoring the termite infestation will be minimized

The Inspection

Every home is somewhat different in its construction and special termite control needs. That's why it is important to rely only on a company who is trained and certified, and who is thoroughly familiar with application methods for all types of building designs and practices. That company is SunState Pest Management!

The purpose of the inspection is to determine where and how termites are entering your home. The inspection will also reveal any existing conditions on your property that are either condusive or vulnerable to future termite activity.

Prior to the inspection, the technician will question you about structural and landscaping details of your property, and any observations you have made in and around you home - for example, swarming, plumbing or rain leaks, or damaged wood.

The inspection of your home and its surroundings will be handled in a thorough and detailed manor by your SunState technician. Sections of your home that are in contact with soil will be inspected and evaluated to determine whether termite have entered. Further, concrete floors and walls will be examined for gaps and small cracks. Remember, termites only need a 1/32 if an inch opening to start attacking your home. Your home will also be examined for hallowed or weakened wood, as well as for any termite shelter tubes that have been constructed in and around your home.

The actual inspection of your home can be broken down into five general areas, including the exterior, interior, attic, sub structural area, and garage.

It is important that you give your technician permission to inspect and treat all areas the he/she may want to treat for termites. Otherwise, SunState may not be able to provide you with a full guarantee or warranty of their work.

Once the active infestation sites have been discovered, an analysis is carried out to determine why termite are active in these particular locations. The analysis may reveal subtle problems such as structural flaws or water leaks which need correction. Termites often attack where a lot of moisture is present in wood. This is often the result of plumbing leaks, roof leaks, poor grading, or inadequate ventilation. Your technician is experienced in identifying these conditions and will make recommendations, if necessary, in order to correct them.

Applications

Generally the termiticide is placed in narrow trenches that have been dug around the foundation of your home an into soil or voids that have been reached by drilling or the creation of access panels. The technicians at SunState Pest Management are Termidor Certified Professionals. SunState Pest Management Company utilizes Termidor in the protection of your home!
