Model Kate Upton and her family moved to the area in 1999 where she attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy. She was quite the prolific equestrian and won three APHA Reserve World Championships.

Baseball player Prince Fielder played at Eau Gallie High School. Eau Gallie was once its own city before being incorporated into Melbourne in the late 1960’s. Fielder was an outstanding high school player and went on to have a great MLB career.
